This robotic sorting machine is an automated robotic cell that performs quality control and sorting of bulk parts.
The system uses the “bin picking” industrial automation method, utilizing a 3D scanner to identify and pick bulk products from a bin. During the inspection, it verifies the presence of the bush and the O-ring, as well as the correct positioning and potential protrusion of the O-ring. Based on the inspection results, the robot sorts the products into two groups: accepted and rejected parts, placing them into separate bins.
This flexible feeding system ensures the automatic separation and even distribution of bulk parts for production or inspection processes.
The equipment enables fast and efficient product feeding while flexibly adapting to parts of various sizes and types. The system can be configured with different feeding units — such as vibratory bowl or belt feeders — making it suitable for handling small, medium, or large parts. Active material handling allows the parts to be rotated, separated, and guided, making it an ideal solution for frequently changing product types.
